PRDB in October: creator search and metadata for your own library

PRDB has a specific October development to discuss: the operator announced creator features on October 22 and updated the article on October 23. For Usenet users, the interesting question is how catalogue data can make a collection more useful. This overview is current to October 30, 2026.

Disclosure: PRDB and NZBPorn sponsor this website. This article assesses documented features; it is not our own identification-accuracy test.

What changed for creator records

The October update covers OnlyFans, ManyVids and Fansly: platform, account and person filters, records without previews, and improved OnlyFans and Fansly matching. Publishing accounts and credited people remain distinct relationships.

That distinction has practical value. First decide whether you want publications from an account or appearances by a person. Those are different questions; treating both as a single name search can obscure what you actually expect to find.

Where PRDB sits in the workflow

The product page describes metadata and file identification. Web searching is free; integrations require a paid API plan. Streaming and subscriptions to the listed creator platforms are not included.

A catalogue result answers a different question from an NZB result. I would check two things separately: whether the record describes the material usefully, and whether my indexer finds a corresponding release. Treating those as equivalent can turn a large catalogue into an unwarranted assumption about download coverage.

New downloads or existing files?

The local applications guide assigns searching, SABnzbd integration and filing to prdb-fab. prdb-viewer makes existing files browsable with read-only library access. Both use Docker Compose and require API access.

Start with the problem you actually have. If incoming downloads need organising, investigate the first route. If you already have a large collection, evaluate the second. A small representative sample of well-named, badly named and unknown files tells you more than the overall catalogue size.

PRDB also documents official SDKs for custom tools. A small metadata export would be my preferred starting point over immediately building an entire management interface.

Our NZBPorn article covers the complementary indexer role.
